The two trailers highlight the Dharmic approach to knowledge, especially self knowledge which is featured in Soma: The Yogic Quest and which places consciousness as primary. The implications of this are unfolded as the Dharmic worldview, which is featured throughout the film.
Some of the main aspects covered are the ritual arts, devatas, reincarnation and meditation towards 'seeing for oneself'. All this is supported by bringing forth teachings from the Rg Veda, the Mundaka, Mandukya, Isha and the Brahadaranyaka Upanishads, Buddha's Tuvataka Sutta, Anapannasati Sutta and his teaching about the Deathless.
Soma also sketches out the Ramayana and forwards it and the Yoga Vasishtha as particularly timely for our era. The film is 71 minutes in duration and displays the awesome Ellora and Ajanta cave temples, the Khajuraho temple complex and the otherworldly ruins of Vijaynagar, as well as the Himalayan mountains and rivers, and the Ganga at Varanasi.
